Yes. Because we wanted the device to work with every club, whether it be a driver or a putter, and for every person, the device incorporates a special hinge which allows it to fit on virtually any shaft/grip size. The only club that you may have a problem with is an oversized grip for a putter. Incidentally, the device works equally well for left and right handed players.

When I am set up to hit a shot and the bubble isn't centered, how can I tell if it's my club face or body alignment that is off?

The answer is that you really can not tell from the AccuSpirit whether it's your body alignment or club face. The aid will just tell you that you are off. For example: You are a right-handed golfer and the bubble is left of center; either your club face is open, or your body alignment is open (aimed too far left). Therefore, when you set-up for a shot, and the bubble is not centered, first check to make sure that the leading edge of the club face is square to the target line. If the bubble still is not centered, make sure your body is aligned parallel to the target line. The Pre-Shot routine page on the website will provide further explanation.

I purposely lined up right of my intended target and the bubble was still centered. Why am I getting a false reading?

It is important to remember that the AccuSpirit training aid does not guarantee perfect alignment with the target. It does guarantee that your body and club face are consistently aligned (i.e. club face square to body alignment). When your body and club face are aligned consistently, it is a lot easier to check and correct your alignment with the target.
In the situation described, your body and club face were both aligned right of the real target. Essentially, you were set-up correctly at the wrong target (see figure C in the accompanying illustration below); consequently, the bubble was still centered. If you had set-up with the club face aligned right of the target and your body was aligned correctly in relation to the target, the bubble would be left of center (figure A). Similarly, if you set-up with the club face square to the target line and your body was lined up right of the target, the bubble would be right of center (figure B).
